Parents of young children can attest to the fact that babies, toddlers, and preschoolers are drawn to our mobile devices. While there are Android and Apple applications designed specifically for these age groups, the hardware that we install them on is far from age-appropriate. Gone are the days of protecting our iPads, cellphones, or other coveted mobile devices from our little learners. We will no longer have to fear that they’ll access something they shouldn’t or delete an important file. The VINCI Genius Tablet has come to our rescue.

VINCI is setting a new standard in early childhood learning by combining basic developmental science with cutting-edge technology. The VINCI Genius Tablet is an Android powered handheld mobile device for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. This learning tablet offers storybooks, games, and music videos for children that are designed to be both interactive and fun. It was created by Dr. Dan D. Yang, telecommunications entrepreneur, after she observed her own child becoming fascinated with assorted electronic devices. Because she believed that such devices should be available in a safer and child-oriented form, she set out to develop the VINCI Genius Tablet.

The VINCI Genius tablet was named after famed inventor and philosopher Leonardo DaVinci. The VINCI Tab company states that their goal is to allow children to make their own discoveries and invent the world around them, much as DaVinci did centuries ago.

The VINCI pad tablet features a 7″ interactive touchscreen interface, rubberized handles, and a tempered glass screen that protects it from the inevitable drop now and then. The educational tablet is manufactured using only the highest quality and safest materials.

Though the internet is a wonderful resource for learning, there are things lurking out there that we don’t want our children to access. For this reason, WiFi is not enabled on this kids tablet. A Micro SD memory card is supported so that you can customize content without fear of viruses or accidental access to inappropriate material on the internet.

VINCI’s curriculum is designed to grow with your child. Games, stories, and videos are age-appropriate and focus on mastering certain sets of developmental milestones before moving on to the next. Content for very young babies focuses on motor skills, while content for preschoolers may focus on shapes, letters, and numbers.

Wanna earn the title of “best gift giver” this Christmas? Well, listen up because I’m about to tell you how.

Technology has changed a lot over the past twenty years, but certain things remain the same. One of those cross-generational constants is that kids want to feel like grown-ups. And this year, what better way to fulfill that desire than giving the little one in your life their very own tablet PC! (Don’t worry, I’m not suggesting you buy another iPad.)

VTech, a prominent player in kid’s educational technology, has developed a “kid-tough” tablet made especially for children aged 4 to 9. Perfect for gaming, learning and creative exploration, the VTech features a touch- and tilt-sensitive screen, mp3 player, camcorder and microphone. It’s also an e-reader!

Priced right at $79.99, the InnoPad is less expensive than other children’s tablets; but it’s just as good. Cartridges power the device, and the library of titles is extensive – featuring everything from phonics programs to art software.

VTech’s InnoPad is sure to elicit exuberant thank-yous on Christmas morning; so if you want to see a giant smile form across that tiny face, order your tablet now over at vetch.com – it’s sure to be the one gift that won’t get tossed aside by New Years (after all, have you tired of your iPad yet?).

Drawing Tablet for Kids and Adults

Calling all parents of mini-Michelangelos and petite -O’Keeffes!
One of Nintendo’s most popular video games is making its way to both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Wait, wait. Don’t click away because you landed on the words “video game.” After all, if you believe former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, “games are the new normal [that have] clearly arrived as a mass medium.”
Besides, thinking that electronic games are just mindless, coma-inducing drivel is “like, so 2001, mom-ah. Geez!!”

Take uDraw, for example. If you thought the etch-a-sketch animator was cool, wait till you get a glimpse of this “game.” Originally a drawing add-on for the Nintendo Entertainment System, uDraw is the 21st century coloring book. Forget the 100-color Crayola set of decades past, uDraw boasts nearly every hue under the sun and boasts a 2,000 X 1,600 pixel input resolution.
How does it work? Simply plug the tablet into the gaming console and whatever is “drawn” on the device appears on the TV screen.
And the fun doesn’t end there. With the uDraw add-on, the whole family can enjoy hours of entertainment with multi-player games, like Pictionary.
If you’re a self-proclaimed “tiger mom,” with a little one that’s showing natural artistic ability, run, don’t walk, to get uDraw. Why? One of the neatest things about the game is that the interface mimics the same type of software professional graphic designers’ use. In fact, it’s been described as “kiddie Photoshop.” Heck, by the time today’s youth of today become adults, there’s a large possibility that digital-based art will be the most prevalent type, so why not give your child a head-start!?
But let’s put aside our professorial airs for a minute and acknowledge what’s really great about uDraw…it’s a whole lot of fun. And fun things do a great job of occupying the attention of kids with unlimited amounts of energy, wink wink. (In other words, the uDraw may actually be your key to an hour or two of YOU time). Thought that might convince tip the scales.
